I am excited to have quite a bit of content lined up for the rest of summer and fall! I am bringing back ‘Wednesday Wellness’ because it is a topic near and dear to my heart. We are kicking off today with spotlight interview. Jen recently did a card reading for me and you guys, it was SPOT on. I read the first one and I think my mouth hit the floor. She has a powerful gift and I am so excited she let me interview he for this series.
Meet Jen, she is a badass spiritual mama, who is building a business and creating her dream life.
Tell us about yourself // My name is Jen and I am an oracle card reader & spiritual wellness coach! I’ve always been empathic & intuitive and now I am able to use those gifts to help others! I was born and raised in NH and moved to Ohio a year ago. I have an incredible 4.5 year old little girl and am engaged to the love of my life. The past year has been a trip! We moved to Ohio, got engaged, started my business and bought our first house. It has been a beautiful journey!
Explain how you got into tarot cards, kundalini and everything // I’ve always been into all things “woo-woo” and spiritual ever since I was a young girl, but I didn’t come out of the “spiritual closet” until about 6 months ago. I’ve done oracle readings for myself and close friends for years, but started offering the service to the public in the beginning of this year with great success! Kundalini meditation was something that I learned about while on this spiritual journey and it has COMPLETELY changed my life in incredible ways. It’s allowed me to connect with myself and a higher power in ways that have catapulted me forward and allowed me to manifest clients, my house and an increase in finances. I’ve recently opened up an E-course on kundalini so I can help share the benefits with others! I’ve always had an immense passion for helping people & I’ve always been someone who people go to to vent, ask advice, lean on, etc. As I’ve grown older, and embarked on this spiritual journey, I’ve learned that my purpose in life is to help empower others to love & cherish themselves and own their gifts. That’s where my spiritual wellness Bootcamp comes in! We focus on you as a WHOLE. The mind, body & soul are all connected and each part feeds off of the other, so it’s crucial that all these parts be aligned. I LOVE what I do, and am so proud of how far I have come in this journey. It’s the most fulfilling journey and I’m blessed to have found my passion!
What do each of these things mean to you? // Oracle card readings are my way to connect with myself and my spirit guides. If I ever need guidance, oracle card readings are able to give me a clear picture as to what is going on or confirmation of what I already feel. In the same aspect, I am able to give others who seek guidance/confirmation, just that. I am able to connect with their energy and guides, and give them clear messages regarding their life in general as it is or any specific questions they have.
Kundalini meditation is a daily practice that I use to clear my energy and raise my vibration. By using kriyas, mantras, pranayama & meditation, I am able to manifest the things I’d like in my life, release old energy that no longer serves me & raise my vibrations. It is the most amazing technology that I am so thankful to have been introduced to!
My spiritual wellness Bootcamp is my way to give back to the collective. Each month myself and other empowering women are able to connect and work on our spiritual wellness journey together. By raising our vibrations we are able to help change lives!! As I said before, my passion is to help people. I want to ensure that they feel supported and never feel alone. Growing up I never understood why I never felt as though I fit in, and why I always felt different. I didn’t understand what being empathic was, and It put me in a very dark place. I never want anyone to feel as though they are alone in their journey. We are all here for a reason, and my goal is to help people find their light.
How do you use them in your every day life? // I pull oracle cards every night for myself. Its part of my nightly ritual. It’s my way again to connect with my guides and hear any messages they need to tell me. It brings me peace & clarity which is a beautiful gift to give myself before I go to sleep! Kundalini meditation is another nightly ritual that I do in order to clear any negative or stagnant energy that I’ve collected during the day and raise my vibrations. The spiritual wellness Bootcamp is also a daily journey. The women in the group check in with each other, share struggles & triumphs and complete activities such as journal prompts, guided meditations, live calls, healthy recipes, workouts, etc. These women are from all over the world, so we are able to connect with each other and reach out daily, which is incredible! We learn new things about ourselves and each other daily.
Any tips for beginners to practice these or suggestions // The number one thing that I tell everyone is that we all have the ability to tap into our intuition and connect with a higher power/the universe/god/spirit/whatever you want to call it. Oracle card reading is just that, tapping into your intuition and really LISTENING to what is coming up. If you feel drawn to oracle cards, there’s a reason for that so explore it! Go to a store that sells them, and find one that you feel drawn to, practice every day!
Meditation goes hand in hand with this practice. Meditation is not about clearing your mind (that’s impossible!), it’s about tuning into yourself. LISTENING to what your body is telling you, your body is your tool. Your intuition is your guide. Meditation doesn’t have to be long, 3-5 min a day at the beginning is perfect. So many people say “I can’t do it right,” but there is no wrong way to do it. At first, just simply focus on your breath, when you feel your mind start to wander, recognize that and bring your focus back to your breath. That’s it! As you practice, it’ll be easier and you’ll be able to tune in more and more with yourself, your body & your spirit. We all have the power inside us, sometimes we just need the tools/support to tap into that power, and that’s what I’m here for!

What does your morning routine look like? // I wake up at 5:00am, do a 30-40 min at home workout to get my body moving, 5-10 min meditation to get my mind right for the day ahead and then start my mom duties! Ive found that I need that time in the morning just for me, so if that means getting up at the ass crack of dawn, then so be it!
Best piece of life/business advice? // Life: Do not be afraid of your gifts, do not be afraid to be different. The most beautiful part about being you is that there is no one in the world who is you, so own that, embrace that and love the shit out of yourself for that. You don’t have to figure it all out at once, you just have to trust that it will work out somehow (because it will!). Business: just start! I had no idea what I was doing (most of the time I still don’t!) but find something that you are passionate about, start and the rest will fall into place.
Who inspires you? // My fiancé, my daughter, Amber Lanier, Yogi Bhajan, Maya Angelo, every person who has taken hardships during their life and turned that hardship into a way to help heal themselves and others.
Your favorite quote? // Not all storms come to disrupt your life, some come to clear your path.
