Dear Eloise,
My sunshine girl. I have lost track of the number of times someone ask’s if you are always this happy, the answer is yes. You are a ray of sunshine, constantly smiling or giggling. It doesn’t mean that it is always easy or that we don’t have our moments of unhappiness, because we do, but they are far and few between which I am grateful for. You cry when your belly hurts, when mama is too far away or drops you off, when you get over tired and sometimes when I put you down to change your diaper. Those are all times that you are trying to communicate something and right now your communication comes in the form of crying, which is understandable. You spend 95% of your day smiling ear to ear.
This week was busy with work and even busier on the weekend. Your dad was gone and we spent the weekend hopping all over town. We went to a bridal shower for a co-worker, we then headed to Portsmouth to meet some friends where we strolled on the beach and enjoyed some delicious food. You LOVED the beach. You didn’t seem to mind the sand on your toes which is a sensory win for my mama OT heart and even though the water was ice cold you didn’t hate it when I stuck your feet in it!
Right now you have a love for dogs. Like hand flapping, full body excitement every time you see one. We are working on gentle (instead of hair pulling). We went to your auntie Brie’s and she had 4 dogs at her house, you couldn’t have been more thrilled!
Your willingness to go with the flow and always have a smile on your face is one of your best qualities. You have such a calm welcoming demeanor and a curious eye for this world. I hope that you always stay curious and happy.
Love Always,
your mama
