More snow days this week for mama which meant more time home with you. Every day I get to spend with you is the best. We snuggled extra, read a lot of books, and played on the floor! Going back to work is always hard after a few days off for both of us, transitions are never easy but we make it work. You seem to love day care, every time I go in to pick you up now you reach up those arms for me stretching tall and flash me that adorable smile. There are two little ones in your class that always try to climb in your car seat with you when we leave or try to rock you as I put you in. It makes me happy knowing you like to be around other little ones and that you are happy there while I am at work.
You are a little wiggle worm these days! You want to move but can’t quite figure out how to push up onto your knees, but you are certainly pushing up as high as can be and trying to move your little body! You roll pretty consistently now, can pick up most things around your area with coordinated movement and can transfer things between hands.
We started some finger foods this week, avocado was first, which was a little too slippery for you to pick up! But you seemed to like it. Naps are hit or miss- you take between 2 or 3 naps these days sometimes they are 20 minutes and sometimes they are 2 hours, but we seem to be on a little bit more of a schedule these days. You love music, mostly wheels on the bus! I sit you on my lap and we do the hand motions together, you smile and giggle every single time! Peek-a-boo is another favorite, you’ve even started to take part in it, covering your face with my sweater and pulling it off, over and over.
There are days I look at you and tear up because I can’t believe how big you are already, the days past fast little lady and as much as I miss the newborn days already, I love this stage and watching you grow. Everything is new for you and watching you learn is amazing.
Remember how much we love you little one. Always.
