You are finally on the upward mend from sickness. Clear ears but a stuffy/runny nose still, I am convinced that you will just be stuffy forever, it’s been that way since we started day care in December. I went back to work this week after having a week off for school vacation, the transition back is never easy, but it was made easier by a few snow days! We got an extra long weekend together.
Your Grandpa Davis came to visit from NC this week and he took you to see your great grandma! You are in a phase of being content with others but reaching for me or your dad if you see us. You love to play on the floor and are rolling pretty consistently to your belly, which is where you stay. You are starting to turn yourself in circles, reaching for anything on the floor you can find. Actually, reaching for anything and everything no matter where you are- you want it all, which have made dinners out trickier. You are still as content and happy as can be, rarely fussing and always smiling.
You love to babble and so far we have heard papa, dada, baba, ahh, ohh, eeee, and vava. I am hoping mama comes soon! I know that they don’t have meaning to you yet, but hearing mama would still make me happy!
I love playing on the floor with you, watching you explore, reading you books and snuggling up to nurse at night. You are officially a fan of Target, which makes my target mama loving heart happy! We go at least once a week and just stroll around. You are getting better with solids, you still prefer a frozen cube in a pouch to suck on but you will eat it off the spoon now and then, always preferring to feed yourself which ends with a huge mess but that’s okay! You have tried sweet potato, peas, carrots, raw peppers, prunes, and a piece of apple.
We had your 6 month check-up this week. You are 17.55lbs, 26.25 inches long and your head is 17 inches round! You are a growing little lady, as healthy as can be. You got two shots and we go back for 3 more in a month, breaks my heart every time to hear you scream, it is a scream unlike any other, but you recovered a lot quicker this time!
Eloise my sweet girl, keep exploring this world and know that we love you so.
