You are officially 7 months.
7 months of your sweet little toes.
7 months of your little gummy smile.
7 months of watching you grow & learn.
7 months of nursing you.
7 months of snuggles.
7 months of watching your dad love on you.
7 months of learning to be your mama.
It has been the BEST 7 months.
You are full of new tricks lately. You have fine tuned some skills and started to explore other new skills. You push up onto all fours and so badly want to move, but haven’t quite figured it out yet. You love to play peek-a-boo, sing if your happy and you know it, dance around the living room, chase your dad around the house, sit up on the floor by yourself, and eat all of the TV remotes.
I swear you know what it means to dance. I tell Alexa to play toddler tunes and as soon as it starts you smile, giggle, and wave those arms around. It is my favorite.
How when you laugh a lot you always get the hiccups.
How when I lay you down in your crib you automatically go to your side now.
How you always reach your arms up when you want to get picked up.
How if I walk in the room your eyes don’t leave me.
How your hands move a mile a minute as I nurse you to sleep and then all of you goes calm.
How you big you smile when I look back at the mirror in the car.
You are in a mama stage right now. If I walk in the room you want only me. It is part exhausting but wonderful. So many firsts lately, it makes me miss how little you once were but also makes me love that you are turning into a tiny human. You learned how to drink from a straw this week, we bought you a little cup and you love to sip water out of it. It only took about a week before you picked up on it.
You rode in a cart at the store for the first time this week, it only lasted about 10 minutes, because when I am around you want to be in my arms. You loved it though, smiled from ear to ear, sitting up like such a big kid.
As much as I want you to stay little. To keep you as my baby forever. I know I can’t, so keep growing sweet one.
