Your personality is blossoming more and more each day. You giggle and coo all the time. You smile from ear to ear and I like to say that you give kisses even though I know you are just trying to suck my face. This week was probably the hardest for me. You were on the mend from a cold last week and it came back full force on Saturday. We went out Saturday for lunch with a friend and when we got home you had a 102 fever. I felt so bad for having you out all morning and I was nervous about your fever getting any higher. We called the doctor and she said if it went up any more to take you to the hospital, well, with some Tylenol and snuggles all night, it came down a little. We made it through the night, stuffy nose, coughing and all. The next morning you fever was back up, so we did it all over again. Nothing is worse then seeing you sick. You were still smiling and happy through it all though, just a little extra sleepy!
Monday was a holiday which meant I was home, it was the best! We played, read books, snuggled and I cherished every moment. You love being on the floor kick and playing, especially if your dad or I are there with you. You have started to be able to turn yourself in a circle while on your back, we left you on the floor to kick dinner and every time we came to check on you, you were in a totally different position.
Your favorite thing to do is still nurse, which I love too. You get very distracted and you cannot stand being covered when we are out in public. It takes you longer to eat now, but watching you observe and see what is going on around is so fun. You also have a habit of wanting one hand on some part of my face at all times, which is always a reminder that we need to cut your nails. You also have loved sucking on my shirt as a break from nursing or when you are done, and you get pretty mad when I take it away!
You are such a light in this world sweet girl. I know you are going to do incredible things in this world. I hope you know how loved you will always be. How you are beautiful inside and out and how you can do anything you want in this life.
Strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them. Never forget that sweet Eloise.
