There are a few shows I could watch over and over again. I would actually probably be ok if I watched nothing else except those few shows, however my husband feels differently and he is always looking for new shows to have us watch.
The shows I could watch over & over….How I met your mother, FRIENDS, Parks and Recreation, and One Tree Hill. However, the number one show I re-watch at least 2x a year is Gilmore Girls. When fall hits I always watch it from the beginning, it is tradition at this point. The rest of the year I watch it sporadically and frequently. I can repeat lines. I can tell you the next scene. And it never gets old.
As much as I don’t want to rush the next couple months, because I love fall. I am extremely excited for the revival of Gilmore Girls.
So grab your coffee & enjoy my top 5 favorite Gilmore Girl moments.
Rory’s Graduation Speech: Cue all the tears.
“Richard and Emily Gilmore are kind, decent, unfailingly generous people. They are my twin pillars without whom I could not stand. I am proud to be their grandchild. But my ultimate inspiration comes from my best friend, the dazzling woman from whom I received my name and my life’s blood, Lorelai Gilmore … My mother never gave me any idea that I couldn’t do whatever I wanted to do or be whomever I wanted to be. She filled our house with love and fun and books and music, unflagging in her efforts to give me role models from Jane Austen to Eudora Welty to Patti Smith. As she guided me through these incredible eighteen years, I don’t know if she ever realized that the person I most wanted to be was her … Thank you, Mom. You are my guidepost for everything.”
If you need motivation, take a lesson from Richard Gilmore.
“What she tackles, she conquers.”
All about finding the right person, good old Luke Danes.
“Yeah, they were lucky. I guess if you can find that one person, you know, who’s willing to put up with all your crap and doesn’t want to change you or dress you, or you know, make you eat French food, then marriage can be all right…but that’s only if you find that person.”
Being flexible is all about having things go exactly as planned, good lesson from Lorelai.
“I can be flexible. As long as everything is exactly the way I want it. I’m totally flexible.”
Finally the real reason put into words of why I cannot stop drinking coffee.
“I can’t stop drinking coffee. If I stop drinking the coffee, I stop doing the standing and the walking and the words-putting-into-sentence doing.”
