It has been a long time since I sat down to write. I could give a thousand excuses but the truth? The truth is that I haven’t made time to write, I continuously told myself I would blog tomorrow, or start up again next week, but then that week came and went and now we are almost in June. Thats the truth. I chose to do other things with my time. I missed writing, I missed connecting with my readers and my short hiatus has inspired more creativity and ideas than I had before. I am back and feeling wonderful.
I thought I would start back up with a small life update—
Aaron and I are living with my mom, trying to save up some money and pay down some student loan debt, and we are so grateful that she is letting us stay here. We are both working full time and trying to figure out this whole work/life balance (if it even exists?). Aaron is working full time as an outpatient physical therapist and I am working as an early intervention occupational therapist. I am probably taking the transition working full time harder than Aaron, I miss my random week days off and I miss having summers off, but we are figuring it out.
The weather has been nothing short of wonderful lately, which has had be in the best mood. We are not even in June yet and I am loving all the porch sitting, barbecuing, fires with friends and nights spent with sparklers in the yard. We have been trying to make the most of our weekends whether that has meant going to Portsmouth for the day to walk around or just spending time outside playing catch.
We are planning a trip in the fall, our first vacation together other than our honeymoon (which was almost 3 years ago!). We are planning to go visit Aaron’s younger brother in Minnesota for half of the week and then head to Portland Oregon for the rest of the week. I am so excited to explore.
Aaron just celebrated his 26th birthday and I get to celebrate mine on Wednesday! 25 was full of crazy change, but I really feel like I know who I am, I know what I want, and I am so ready for 26.
