There comes a point in everyones life where you have to do something you may not want to do, that is just the way life works. If you have never done something you didn’t want to do…well lucky you, but you are not the norm.
Currently I am anxious, mentally exhausted and stressed about the job I am doing, but I don’t have a choice, I have exactly 11 weeks to suck it up and make the best of it.
So how do you make the best of any situation?
1// Learn something.
There is always a lesson to be learned, you just have to have an open mind. Even if the situation sucks, try to find a small lesson from it. This makes any situation worth it, we are better when we can learn something. Maybe we simply learn that we never want to do it again or maybe we learn that everyone does things differently. It doesn’t need to be a big lesson, but try to take away at least one thing. It helps, trust me.
Laugh at yourself for mistakes you make, no one is perfect. Laugh at the situation or moment, because this time right here…well you never get it back, so laugh and laugh a lot.
3// Set goals.
If you are doing something you hate or something you really wish you weren’t it helps to set goals. Set goals about something you want to take away from the situation or set goals to help you get out of the situation. Having a plan can help make it better.
4// Balance it with something you do love or enjoy.
Hate your job? Get a side job or a hobby that you love. This gives you something to look forward to each day! Hate running errands or hate going to you weekly family dinner with all your relatives? Make a plan to do something for yourself that week or day to motivate you to stay positive and happy.
5// Find the light.
There is always an end, it may not be visible right now, but try and picture the light at the end of the tunnel. It is there trust me, and seeing the end can help you make it through the tough stuff.
