Today is the first day I woke up without an assignment to finish, an exam to study for, or a paper to finish in almost 19 years. I have been in school pretty much my entire life. I went from elementary school, to middle school, to high school, to 4 years of undergraduate work for my bachelors, to a year of pre-requisite work for graduate school, and finally to where I am now. Yesterday I finished all of my coursework and finals for my masters program. It has been a long year and a half strait through, but I made it!! I am so happy to be done. I met some amazing people, had some incredible professors, and really learned how amazing occupational therapy is.
Today marks a new chapter, it is currently filled with boxes! We are finishing up packing and we will be picking the UHaul up Saturday morning. With the help of our friends we will be loading everything up and moving to New Hampshire. I am excited, so excited. It is also kind of bittersweet. I know half the people in my program I probably will not keep in touch with, but I really hope to keep the bonds between my professors and classmates that I was closest with.
Change is scary and exciting all at the same time, but I am ready to embrace it. I am ready to be in NH and I am ready to finish my clinicals! I am excited for the road ahead and I am excited that my husband and I are on this journey together, he will be done Monday! I’m cherishing this time of change right now and thankful for all of the opportunities I have had. Thank you to everyone of you who has supported me on my journey.
Happy Wednesday, friend.
