DIY Mugs

I finally decided to do a DIY project that I pinned on Pinterest a while ago, and I saw it done here a few days ago! It was very quick and very easy, which was nice because I always love projects with fast results!

I went to Ikea with a friend on Monday and bought way more stuff than I had planned, but it was well worth it. I found white ceramic mugs for really cheap and decided it was time to try decorating them. I grabbed my Sharpies and sketched some ideas on paper and I played around with different font styles on the computer to see how I wanted to write on them. I decided I wanted something very simple, but fun.

All you have to do is draw your design, bake them in the over for 30 minutes @ 350 degrees, easy right?

After they were done baking I let them cool completely and then washed them with hot soapy water and a sponge. Nothing smudged or got ruined! I would suggest sticking to hand washing them and not putting them in the dishwasher.

  1. Wait…you can do this with sharpies?! I thought it required a special kind of pen. That's so cool! I've been wanting to make a plate like this too.
